December 2, 2014, part 2

Quick note to let you know we are out of clinic!

Starting oral clindamycin and topical Bactroban. As long as it doesn't get worse or she doesn't get a fever we will remain out of the hospital!

Running out to get Lexie a burger at five guys and picking up my mom from the airport. Will post when I get back to the apartment ... Bone marrow results back but it's a little complicated to explain.

Lexie read me this devotional today:

"I am the One who keeps you safe. You tend to rely heavily on your thinking and planning, as if that is where your security lies. When you start to feel anxious about something, your mind goes into overdrive - searching for solutions, searching for security. All the while I am with you, holding you by your right hand.
Beware of trusting in yourself - which is foolish. Instead, walk in wisdom and you will be kept safe. The essence of wisdom is to trust in Me more than in yourself or other people. I stand ready to guide you with My counsel, so bring all your concerns to Me. When you are feeling confused, it may be helpful to write out your prayers, asking Me to show you the way forward. Then wait in My Presence, giving Me time to guide your mind while you focus on Me and My Word. You can whisper, "Jesus" to help you stay focused. My Name - representing all that I am - is a strong tower; those who run to it are safe."

We are whispering "Jesus" tonight as we always find ourselves living in the "grey" area which certainly keeps us on our knees before Christ.

Lexie's bone marrow results appear to be good as the flow cytology interpretation read: "No residual leukemic lymphoblasts detected".   But they also did a genetic "fish probe" that also looks to see how cells are doing and this test was abnormal.

This is way above my head, but from what I understand Lexie has 2 area's where cells are replicating quickly (on chromosome 21 and 12).

Too complicated to go into details, but our oncologist said this is "unusual". He is going to look at the slides for himself tomorrow. He said, "this is one of those instances where a picture is worth a thousand words".

Praying that the "picture" he sees tomorrow is only two words: HEALTHY CELLS!

Our only prayer request tonight is that God would heal Lexie and all of her cells would be restored to perfect health which would be revealed under the microscope tomorrow on the slides under review. And for wisdom for our oncologist, Mike, that God would give him specific wisdom and information to know and understand what he see's on Lexie's bone marrow slides.

There is power in numbers and I ask that you all join us in praying tonight.

Pray Until Something Happens and Pray Until Lymphoma Loses!

On a side note, Thank You Sandy Fox, Jane Klingenberg, Kami Koehler, Mary Johnson and Taylor Johnson for the care packages and/or notes you sent for Lexie. We are so incredibly thankful for your kindness and tender loving care for her. We hang on to every encouraging word you write and look forward to the next ones to come ... your thoughtful hearts and positive words keeps us going!

Thank you for continuing to stand with us... we don't ever want to be alone!

Love you all! xoxo
